Eight new houses complete

The construction of eight new houses in Alice Springs town camps is now complete.

These eight houses are part of the 85 new houses being constructed as part of the  Strategic Indigenous Housing and Infrastructure Program (SIHIP) in Alice Springs.

The eight houses have been built at Larapinta Valley (2 houses), Hidden Valley (2 houses), Little Sisters (2 houses), Trucking Yards (1 house) and Walpiri town camp (1 house).

Work has begun on building two duplex units at Morris Soak, which will give the town camp four new two bedroom houses.

More new houses will be started in Trucking Yards, Hidden Valley and Larapinta Valley in the next few months, with a large number of new houses expected to be completed by Christmas.
